Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of ApplyLikeMe’s website, dashboard, progressive web app, browser extension and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use ApplyLikeMe for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

ApplyLikeMe offers tools for organizing job searches, capturing job listings, tracking applications, building and tailoring resumes, creating cover letters, scoring documents, managing career profiles, sharing selected profiles or journeys, participating in a community, collaborating with delegates and exchanging messages.

Features may change, be introduced gradually, remain experimental or require a particular plan. We may improve, replace, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

Provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and for activity performed through your account or linked extension. Do not share passwords or allow unauthorized access. Notify us promptly at legal@applylikeme.com if you suspect compromise.

You may not create accounts through automated or deceptive means, impersonate another person, evade restrictions, or transfer an account without permission.

You retain ownership of resumes, profile material, job notes, messages, community posts and other content you submit (“User Content”). You confirm that you have the necessary rights to provide it and that it does not violate law or another person’s rights.

You grant ApplyLikeMe a limited, non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, process, format and transmit User Content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the requested service. Public content may be displayed and shared according to your selected settings. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to legal retention, backups and copies made by others.

AI features can parse, draft, tailor, compare, score or structure content. Generated output is a suggestion, may contain errors, and may not accurately reflect your experience or a job requirement. You must review and approve content before relying on or submitting it.

Do not use AI features to fabricate qualifications, impersonate others, infringe rights or make unlawful decisions. ApplyLikeMe does not guarantee ATS compatibility, interviews, job offers, hiring outcomes or the accuracy of scraped or generated content.

The extension and job import tools help identify and save job information from third-party pages. You are responsible for confirming that a listing is genuine and current and that your use complies with the source website’s terms and applicable law.

The extension may require permissions necessary to detect job pages and communicate with ApplyLikeMe. Do not alter it to collect unrelated information, bypass website controls or perform unauthorized automation.

Publishing a career profile, journey, topic or comment makes that content accessible according to the indicated visibility. Do not publish private information you do not want others to see.

Community participation must remain respectful and lawful. You may not harass, threaten, discriminate, spam, manipulate votes, publish malicious code, expose another person’s private data, promote scams, or post unlawful, infringing or deliberately deceptive content. We may moderate, restrict or remove content to protect users and the service.

If you invite a delegate, you authorize that person to access and act on the resources covered by the permissions you select. You are responsible for choosing trusted collaborators, limiting permissions and revoking access when it is no longer needed. Delegates must use access only for the account owner’s authorized purpose.

Do not use messaging to send spam, unlawful solicitations, malware or abusive content. Submission of a job application by a delegate remains subject to your authorization and the employer’s requirements.

You must not misuse the service. Prohibited conduct includes unauthorized access; security testing without written permission; scraping or bulk extraction beyond provided functionality; interfering with infrastructure; distributing malware; abusing APIs; violating intellectual-property, privacy or employment laws; discriminatory or fraudulent activity; reselling unauthorized access; or using the service to harm another person.

Reasonable automated use through official ApplyLikeMe features is permitted. We may apply technical limits to protect security, availability and fair use.

ApplyLikeMe may link to employers, job boards, payment providers, AI providers and other third parties. Their services, content, availability and privacy practices are controlled by them. A link or extracted company logo does not imply endorsement or partnership.

Employers control their listings and hiring decisions. Verify identities, opportunities, compensation and requests independently. Never pay suspicious recruitment fees or provide sensitive information without confirming the recipient.

Some features may be offered through free, trial or paid plans. Before purchase, we will present the price, billing interval, included features and applicable renewal or cancellation terms. You authorize the stated charges through the selected payment provider.

Unless an offer states otherwise, recurring plans continue until cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not retroactively refund a completed billing period. Mandatory consumer rights and any expressly stated refund policy continue to apply. We may correct pricing errors and change future pricing with reasonable notice.

The service, branding, interfaces, software, templates and original materials—excluding User Content and third-party materials—belong to ApplyLikeMe or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service under these Terms.

You may download and use documents generated from your lawful content for your personal or professional job search. You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer or create a competing service from protected parts of ApplyLikeMe except where applicable law expressly permits it.

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Internet outages, third-party services, maintenance, security events or unsupported devices may affect access. Keep independent copies of important application records and final documents.

Beta, offline and synchronization features may behave differently across browsers and devices. Unsynchronized local data may be lost if browser storage is cleared.

ApplyLikeMe is a career-organization and document-assistance service, not an employer, recruitment agency, law firm, financial adviser or guarantor of employment. Information and scores are provided for general assistance and should not replace professional judgment.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties that cannot reasonably apply, but nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that the law does not allow us to exclude.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ApplyLikeMe is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost opportunities, employer decisions, third-party conduct, or loss of unsynchronized data arising from use of the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid ApplyLikeMe for the affected service during the preceding twelve months or the minimum amount required by applicable law. This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct or liability that cannot legally be limited.

You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may restrict or terminate access for material or repeated violations, security threats, fraud, unlawful conduct, non-payment, or where continued service is not reasonably possible. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Terms concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, disputes and provisions that logically continue will survive termination.

These Terms apply worldwide. Nothing in them removes mandatory consumer, privacy or other statutory protections available in your country, state or region. The governing law and competent forum will be determined by applicable conflict-of-law and consumer-protection rules and, where relevant, the terms presented with a paid order.

Before filing a formal claim, contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the concern informally. You retain any right under applicable law to contact a regulator, use an available consumer dispute process or bring a claim in a court with lawful jurisdiction.

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the service or law. We will update the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes. If you continue using the service after revised Terms take effect, you accept them; if you disagree, stop using the service.

If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and incorporated policies form the agreement concerning the service.
